Lyle Willits' 1957 Chevy Gasser
(click the image to go back)
Here you can see where Lyle fabricated the lower front
splash pan that one normally never sees on a 1957 Chevy
when the grille and front bumper are bolted in their normal
positions. Also visible are the mounting platform for
the Bob Dudek Moon tank, drilled axle racing front suspension
from the old AMT 1955 Chevrolet Nomad kit, and some of
the chassis modifications required to fit them.
You can also clearly see the "gunsights" on
the hood have been filled, the Replicas and Miniatures
Company of Maryland used Lyle's hood as a master to produce
a filled hood in resin for the Revell kit.
