Lyle Willits' Tall "T"
(click the image to go back)
This is not the model that Lyle set out to build, his
original vision was a full-fendered T. What he discovered
along the way is that once a cross-member is placed in
the frame for mounting the front suspension, there's not
enough room left for an engine. After valiantly trying
every cool hotrod engine he had and setting the firewall
back as far as he could, Lyle realized it was time to
change his plan. He discarded the fenders, installed a
suicide front suspension from his parts box, and shifted
the radiator forward. This gave him plenty of room for
an engine.
