Norman Veber's Nieuport Ni-17

Norman used .005" stainless steel wire for the elevator and rudder control lines. For the flying wires, landing wires, and undercarriage bracing wires, he used .005" "Wonder Wire, " a very rigid ceramic wire. He replaced the plastic tail plane braces supplied in the kit with flat wire and photo-etch bolt details. The airframe was detailed with cross brace wires and photo-etch turnbuckles. He added a "metal" shoe and clamps to the tail skid.
